坩埚是化学仪器的重要组成部分,它是熔化和精炼金属液体以及固液加热、反应的容器,是保证化学反应顺利进行的基础。
坩埚的型号规格较多,在应用时不受生产规模、批量大小和熔炼物质品种的限制,可任意选择,适用性较强,并可保证被熔炼物质的纯度。
【产品分类】
坩埚可分为石墨坩埚、粘土坩埚和金属坩埚三大类。
石墨坩埚的主体原料,是结晶形天然石墨。故它保持着天然石墨原有的各种理化特性。
石墨坩埚具有良好的热导性和耐高温性,在高温使用过程中,热膨胀系数小,对急热、急冷具有一定抗应变性能。对酸,碱性溶液的抗腐蚀性较强,具有优良的化学稳定性。
石墨坩埚,因具有以上优良的性能,所以在冶金、铸造、机械、化工等工业部门,被广泛用于合金工具钢的冶炼和有色金属及其合金的熔炼。并有着较好的技术经济效果。
金坩埚
金也是贵金属,耐腐蚀性很强,但因其熔点较低(1063℃),限制了它的使用范围。熔融的碱金属氢氧化物对金不侵蚀,做这种熔融用金坩埚较好。
注意:金在高温煤气灯上加热会熔化(绝不可使黄金接触王水)
银坩埚
银比金价廉,它也不受氢氧化钾或钠的侵蚀,在熔融状态下仅在接近空气的边缘略起作用。但银的熔点为960℃,不能在火上直接加热,银加热后表面生成一层氧化银,氧化银在高温下不稳定,在200℃以下稳定。银易与硫作用生成硫化银,不可在银坩埚中分解和灼烧含硫的物质,不许使用碱性硫化熔剂。熔融状态时铝、锌、锡、铅、汞等金属盐都能使银坩埚变脆。银坩埚不可用于熔融硼砂,浸取熔融物时不可使用酸,特别是不可接触浓酸,银坩埚的质量经灼烧会变化,故不适于沉淀的称量。
【产品用途】
(1)灼烧固体物质
(2)溶液的蒸发、浓缩或结晶(如果有蒸发皿,应该选择蒸发皿。当然坩埚也可以用于溶液的蒸发、浓缩或结晶)。
【注意事项】
(1)可直接受热,加热后不能骤冷,用坩埚钳取下
(2)坩埚受热时放在泥三角上
(3)蒸发时要搅拌;将近蒸干时用余热蒸干
(4)用后放置干燥处,切忌雨水侵入;使用前须缓慢烘烤到500摄氏度方可使用。
(5)应根据坩埚容量加料,忌挤得太紧,以免金属发生热膨胀胀裂坩埚。
(6)取出金属熔液时,最好用勺子舀出,尽量少用卡钳,若用卡钳等工具应与坩埚形状相符,避免局部受力过大而缩短使用寿命。
(7)坩埚使用寿命与用法有关,应避免强氧化火焰直接喷射到坩埚上,而使坩埚原料氧化短命。
坩埚的生产原料,可概括为三大类型。一是结晶质的天然石墨,二是可塑性的耐火黏土,三是经过煅烧的硬质高岭土类骨架熟料。从2008年开始,开始采用耐高温的合成材料,如:碳化硅、氧化铝金刚砂及硅铁等做坩埚的骨架熟料。这种熟料对提高坩埚产品质量,增强坩埚密度和机械强度有着显著效果。
